Excellence in Information Integrity Awards

The Information Integrity Coalition (IIC), a not-for-profit organization that promotes awareness and understanding of Information Integrity, recognized winners and finalists at the 14th annual Excellence in Information Integrity Awards (EIIA) Banquet. The banquet was held at the Northern Illinois University Naperville Campus in Naperville, Illinois, USA. Information Integrity is the accuracy, consistency and reliability of the information content, and associated processes, systems and environment.

The EII Awards Program recognizes two categories of organizations: For-Profit and Non-Profit. In each category there are three award levels: Gold, Silver and Bronze. The 2009 Awards Program recognized organizations that have made exceptional progress to provide accurate, consistent and reliable information to their customers, suppliers and partners through a single project or an enterprise-wide effort towards achieving Information Integrity. The 2009 EIIA program was co-sponsored by 25 organizations. The 2009 EIIA Banquet was sponsored by Infogix, Inc., Business Excellence, Inc., Pharmaconsultant Inc., Broadway Bank, EAGLE Registrations Inc., Health Care Service Corporation and Senryo Technologies.

All award applications were reviewed by a panel of independent judges who are advocates of Information Integrity. The judges evaluated applications based on how the applicant addressed Information Integrity issues/opportunities using best practices on a sustained basis producing demonstrable results. Independent scores and comments were reviewed collectively by the judges to determine the winners and finalists in each category.

Winners and Finalists in the For-Profit category included:

  • Silver Winner - Kraft  Foods, Inc. - Northfield, IL, USA
  • Bronze Winner - Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited - Ranipet, Tamil Nadu, India
  • Finalist - Educomp Solutions Limited - R&D - Gurgaon, Haryana, India
  • Finalist - KazMicroFinance - Almaty, Kazakhstan
  • Finalist - US Bank - St. Louis, Missouri, USA

Winners and Finalists in the Non-Profit category included:

  • Gold Winner - Helsinki University Central Hospital - Helsinki, Finland
  • Silver Winner - EKI - Sarajevo, Bosnia & Herzegovina
  • Bronze Winner - Arghyam - Bangalore, Karnataka, India
  • Finalist - Institute of Rural Research and Development (IRRAD) - Gurgaon, Haryana, India
  • Finalist - Ramakrishna Mission Sevashrama - Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, India
  • Finalist - Sustainable Innovations - Aakash Ganga - Fairfax, Virginia, USA

Dr. Paul Prabhaker and Dr. Denise Schoenbachler of the NIU College of Business welcomed all the guests. Mr. Madhavan Nayar, Co-Founder, Director and President of the IIC, outlined the importance of Information Integrity and stressed the importance of advancing the cause of Information Integrity globally. Around 120 distinguished executives attended the banquet. The Northern Illinois University’s Naperville Campus provided a great ambience for the evening banquet.
